CAMBODIA

After several trips to Cambodia, for both personal and professional reasons, we learnt that the country is not as lush and 'jungly' as it used to be. Cambodia has one of the highest rates of deforestation in the world, massive deforestation for economic development threatens its forests and ecosystem.

Our suppliers are women from the province of Takeo, an approximately two hours drive from the capital, Phnom Penh. They grow the bamboo on the village's premises and manufacture the straws and other products in their homes. The bamboo is harvested above the roots and it grows back fairly rapidly. By supporting local communities in small villages we empower them to make sustainable choices and inspire others by their everyday labor and their actions.

Our mission is to bring the jungle back to Cambodia with projects aimed at preserving the Cambodian forests, trees and its ecosystem.
